Not an Underground Car Park

Munich. Visitors of the shopping centre at Elisenhof were astonished when on Tuesday at 3 o'clock, a woman tried to drive her Hyundai into the basement of the shopping centre.

The 83 year old mistook the entrance to the shopping centre for an underground car park. When she realised her mistake it was already too late and the car was stuck. According to police, the woman was not injured and only minor damage was caused to the car.

In the past few years in Munich there have been a number of instances of drivers mistaking U-Bahn entrances for entrance routes to underground car parks.
