Woman Rescued from Isar

Unterfoehring. In a dramatic rescue act, members of the fire brigade and the team of the rescue helicopter "Christoph 1" rescued a woman from the Isar canal.

The fire brigade in Unterfoehring were called at about 9.45 AM and informed that an elderly woman was on the verge of drowning in the Isar. It is not yet known how the woman came to be there as it is not a bathing area.

The helicopter team managed to rescue the woman, who was floating on the water, from the Isar canal.
